Product Description  Modified Starch FS-186

1. Product description:

This product, Modified Starch FS-186, also known as oxidized hydroxypropyl starch, is made from high-quality cassava starch as raw material, and modified by oxidation and special hydroxypropyl substitution process. It is 100% pure modified starch without any other raw starch or additives. The product is a white powder and is widely used in various food industries that require surface film formation.

2. Product Features:

This product uses a special production process to effectively replace specific groups in cassava starch with hydroxypropyl groups, thus improving the reaction efficiency and increasing the effective hydroxypropyl content by 4-6 times. Special oxidizing agents are used to make the product have better film-forming properties, transparency, and durability.


The product mainly has the following features:
a. Patented hydroxypropyl substitution process, with high hydroxypropyl content, 4-6 times that of similar products in China;
b. Good film-forming effect, with high transparency and less breakage of the film;
c. Good water retention effect, effectively retaining the moisture of the product and improving the taste;
d. Good resistance to acid and alkali, high stability, and can effectively extend the shelf life of the product;
e. The product after gelatinization has stable paste, appropriate viscosity, and no separation;

3. Application Range:

After various application experiments, it can be used in various processed foods that require surface film formation.
For example:
1) Marinated shelled eggs.  recommended addition: 0.6-2%;
2) Marinated meat products, recommended addition: 0.3-0.5%;
3) Nut products, recommended addition: 0.3-0.5%;
4) Other products that require surface film formation, add according to specific product requirements.
